June is Pride Month — a time to celebrate the resilience, joy, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities across Canada and around the world. Here in Dartmouth North, we stand proudly with our 2SLGBTQIA+ neighbours, friends, and family members, and reaffirm our commitment to building a riding where everyone belongs.
Pride is both a celebration and a reminder of the work still ahead. The Nova Scotia Liberal Party believes that equality is not a partisan issue — it is a fundamental value. We will always stand against discrimination and in favour of the rights, dignity, and full participation of every Nova Scotian, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
This summer, Atlantic Canada’s largest and oldest Pride festival comes to Halifax, running July 16–26, 2026. Over eleven days and more than 150 events, Halifax Pride draws over 120,000 participants from across the region. We encourage everyone in Dartmouth North to take part, show your support, and celebrate together.
